The objectives of quality assurance in alternative higher education are to provide assurance to all stakeholders that a quality education is delivered in line with accepted standards and criteria. The system of quality assurance will combine internal quality reviews based on self evaluations and external quality reviews based on peer assessments conducted by external reviews.
As another measure to improve quality, benchmark statements for programmes offered in the alternative higher education sector will also be developed considering internationally accepted standards.
